Marca Portugal registers an increase in public evaluation
According to a study on Portugal's strength and reputation, prepared by the consultancy firm OnStrategy, the assessment by external audiences tends to be closer to that of domestic audiences, "due to a trend of accelerated growth from an external perspective as a result of the country's increasing international exposure," the consultancy notes.
The "Portugal Sou Eu" program, which has been boosting the competitiveness of Portuguese companies since 2012, has contributed significantly to this result, also focusing on promoting their image and products. Aimed at the Primary Sector, Industry, Services, Handicrafts, Retail and Wholesale Trade, Restaurants, and Accommodation with Catering, Portugal Sou Eu recognizes, through the awarding of the seal, products and services that generate value in Portugal.
The program currently has more than 4,500 registered companies, of which approximately 2,000 have completed the membership process. More than 19,500 Portuguese products and services have been certified with the "Portugal Sou Eu" seal, representing an aggregate turnover of over 12 billion euros.
