Portuguese exports of goods increased by 10% in the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the rapid estimate released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). In the same period, imports grew by 8.2%.
These results represent a significant recovery, after exports registered a reduction of 6.5% in the first three months of the year.
The growth in exports demonstrates the ability of exporting companies to assert Portuguese products in international markets, contributing to competitiveness, the internationalization of companies, and the generation of value in Portugal.

In this context, the "Portugal Sou Eu" (I Am Portugal) initiative reinforces the importance of valuing national production. Through the "Portugal Sou Eu" seal, consumers and companies can identify products and services with national incorporation and recognize the contribution of companies to the Portuguese economy.
