Portuguese consumers value national products
A study by ConsumerChoice confirms the strong appreciation for products of national origin by Portuguese consumers, with 92% of respondents stating that they frequently consume "Made in Portugal" items. Quality, trust in brands, and contribution to the national economy stand out as the main factors in their choice.
The perception of quality is particularly high: more than 95% of participants consider Portuguese products to be of good quality, and 77% associate them with more sustainable practices. The Food and Beverages, Clothing and Footwear, and Furniture and Decoration sectors lead the preferences, reinforcing the relevance of national production in consumers' lives.
