Portugal Sou Eu takes 14 certified artisans to the 37th edition of the International Handicraft Fair
The Portugal Sou Eu program will once again be present at the International Handicraft Fair (FIA), the largest Iberian exhibition in the sector and the second largest in Europe, which will take place between June 28 and July 6, at FIL – Parque das Nações, in Lisbon.
This year, the Portugal Sou Eu space (stand 1A02) will feature 14 participating artisan companies with brands certified by the program, from various areas – namely fashion, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and decoration. The public will be able to contact the artisans directly, watch live demonstrations of traditional and innovative crafts, and learn about the value of the Portugal Sou Eu seal.
Some exhibitors will also present works in competition in the traditional and contemporary craft categories promoted by the FIA organization.
Artisans can easily join the Portugal Sou Eu program if they have a Carta UPA (Artisanal Production Unit) card, which is given out by CEARTE.
Currently, the program has more than 4,500 registered companies, of which about 2,000 have completed the membership process. More than 19,500 products and services are qualified, with an aggregate turnover of more than €12 billion. The craft sector represents 23% of all certified products.
