Portugal Sou Eu is present at the National Agriculture Fair with 28 member companies
The Portugal Sou Eu program will be at the 61st edition of the National Agriculture Fair (FNA), which runs from June 7 to 15 at the National Exhibition Center in Santarém, with 28 participating companies from the food, beverage, and handicraft sectors.
The Portugal Sou Eu space will host a bunch of stuff, including tastings and show cooking, promoting direct contact with national products with the program's seal.
In Hangar A (Salão Prazer de Provar), visitors can check out a selection of Portuguese products with the Portugal Sou Eu seal. Mercadona, as a participating company, will enliven the space with show cooking sessions led by chef Tia Cátia.
At the same time, in Hall C, dedicated to handicrafts, there will be artisanal production units participating in Portugal Sou Eu, which will demonstrate traditional techniques live, highlighting national know-how.
The Portugal Sou Eu program has more than 4,500 registered companies, of which around 2,000 have already completed the membership process. More than 1,000 establishments have the status of Member Establishment.
The seal has already been awarded to more than 19,500 products and services, which together represent a turnover of more than €12 billion. Fifty-seven percent of participating companies are in the food and beverage sector, and 23% are linked to artisanal activities.
This year, FNA stands out for its focus on biosolutions, reflecting the agricultural sector's commitment to innovation and sustainability, with an emphasis on reducing environmental impact, increasing water efficiency, and promoting biodiversity.
